Launch of Infor WM (EXceed WMS) at the terminal for packaging, storage and shipment of high-tech oils of the LUKOIL-PERMNEFTEORGSINTEZ refinery
On October 10, 2006, an automated terminal was opened at the refinery of OOO LUKOIL-Permnefteorgsintez in Perm, which is the first stage of the complex for the production, packaging, storage and shipment of oils. Terminal with an area of 5000 sq. m. is equipped with a modern warehouse management system EXceed WMS 4000 (Infor WMS). The implementation of EXceed WMS 4000 (Infor WMS) at the storage of packaged oils was carried out by specialists from DK-Expert Company, a subsidiary of DataKrat Corporation.
“We are pleased to announce that within 3 months we have completed a project to automate the storage of packaged oils at the LUKOIL-Permnefteorgsintez refinery. This project once again proves the need to choose not only advanced solutions that fully meet the current and future requirements of the customer, but also experienced integrators who can guarantee the effectiveness of system implementation,” Andrey Turov, Commercial Director of DataKrat Corporation, comments on this project.
“EXceed WMS allows you to manage the work of personnel, warehouse equipment, has powerful functionality and supports the entire range of product distribution processes. This is a modern warehouse management system capable of solving the problems of complex terminals with a complex organizational structure, a wide range of products and a large volume of operations,” says Alexey Shuvaev, Director of DK-Expert, a subsidiary of DataKrat Corporation
The automated terminal is a unique facility that has no analogues in Russia. It includes a storage warehouse for 3 thousand tons of packaged oils with ramps for simultaneous shipment of products to vehicles and by rail (the warehouse system allows you to ship up to 12 wagons and 30 vans of packaged products per day), an administrative unit and a transformer substation. The external and internal finishing of the terminal, as well as the I&C, ventilation, power supply and fire protection systems comply with the most modern world standards and safety standards, and do not have harmful effects on the environment. The need to build the complex is due to the increased demand for high-performance Lukoil motor oils, which implies an increase in their production. At present, LUKOIL-Permnefteorgsintez packs 50,000 tons of oils into small containers (1.4.5-liter canisters). Meanwhile, by 2015 it is planned to develop the capacity for the production of oils more than twice.
The commissioning of the second stage of the complex, which provides for the installation of blow molding machines for the production of polymer containers and automatic oil packaging lines, the installation of a tank farm and a pumping station, was carried out in 2007. The implementation of this project not only increased the efficiency of LUKOIL's oils business, securing their leadership in the Russian lubricants market, but also satisfies the growing needs of Russian car enthusiasts, providing them with a wide range of high-quality motor oils. In addition, the unification of the packaging, packaging, storage and shipment processes in one production complex will provide maximum protection for the consumer and the LUKOIL trademark from counterfeit products.
“This project did not do without know-how! - comments Oleg Tokarev, project manager of DK-Expert - With the launch of the second stage of the facility, namely the automatic oil packaging complex based on modern production lines, we got a unique opportunity to integrate a production and storage solution. As a result, the production lines independently inform the WMS system about what products, with what batch, in what quantity, left the line packed on a pallet. This allows you to completely avoid the acceptance process, which means reducing personnel costs and increasing the productivity of the complex as a whole.
The first project was completed in 2007.
At present, the WMS system at the warehouse sites is being updated to a newer version, and Volgograd, Nizhny Novgorod and Tyumen have also been added to the Perm site.
