DK-Expret and Metropolis announce the completion of the logistics design of the Distribution Center in Kurgan.

At the end of 2009, DK-Expert completed the logistics design of the Distribution Center with a total area of ​​29,000 m2, commissioned by Metropolis Company LLC. In 2010, Metropolis Company LLC plans to begin the reconstruction of the production complex for the tasks of warehouse logistics of the enterprise. At the same time, in the context of the ongoing global financial crisis, the final cost of the project played an important role.

The result of the work:

Calculation of the required number of pallet places;
Determination of the physical dimensions of the complex, guaranteeing the processing of the required volumes of products;
Determination of the internal topology of the complex, including cooled zones and corresponding to the criterion of optimality of the ways of movement of goods flows;
Calculation of the required number and types of equipment;
Calculation of the number of personnel and their role, recommended work schedule;
Analysis of proposals for equipment and recommendations for selection;
Analysis of proposals for warehouse equipment and recommendations for selection;
Analysis of proposals for refrigeration equipment;
Calculation of the estimated cost of project implementation.
The logistics thought out by the specialists of DK-Expert will allow organizing warehouse business processes with minimal costs for its automation. It is safe to say that the work carried out will save Metropolis Company significant funds for the implementation of a fully functional WMS system.
